Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham – Review

I read this book because my friends read it. We both love Gilmore Girls, and it was a rapid read. It’s only about four hours if you listen to it on audiobook, and I am so glad that I did. I’m a huge Gilmore Girls fan.

I have probably watched every episode of Gilmore Girls like seven times. I used to just like, watch the whole thing and then start it over and then like do that repeatedly and over. I did that with a lot of shows. But, especially Gilmore Girls, I loved Lauren Graham, and I loved Lauren, and this book is about her like, being an actress and like her journey. But, something remarkable happened like with Gilmore Girls, and she talks about how she had this special connection with the script and with all of the people. That she worked with, and with the character in general, it’s fantastic to hear her talk about it, and it was enjoyable to listen to her talk about herself. Like her journey as an actress, because she is a little bit quirky, she’s slightly different like sucks about like her hair is curly, a little bit too tall, talks too fast, and people ask her if she can speak usually.

I enjoyed seeing that because I get asked that question daily to stop talking as fast as possible because I don’t know!

I just talked fast, and it’s from watching all the Gilmore Girls. that is the culprit here. Still, this book is from Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls so, she not only talks about the first time being Lorelai Gilmore and the journey, what it was like revisiting it, and what it was like to do a year in the life and I haven’t watched it here in the life yet. I was afraid to watch it. I thought I wouldn’t like it, but hearing her talk about it makes me excited about it. I want to go and revisit it because I feel like Gilmore Girls – a lot of people, have this sense of nostalgia and home because you feel for these characters, and you get to know them. You almost feel like you’re a part of Stars Hollow.

So, it was fantastic to hear Lauren graham talk about it that way, and much of an impact it had on her life, and she gives some excellent advice when it comes to just life in general. I think it was an absolute delight to read, and as I said, it’s only about four hours. If you listen to it on audiobook, I do not recommend that you speed it up because it’s like the title says she does talk at an average pace, at least in my opinion.

I wouldn’t speed it up any. But, it is a fun listen. It’s super delightful. You can listen to it, like on your way to work. Like while you’re working, or just like anything like that.

Check it out if you, especially if you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls because she trusts me, you won’t regret it.
